Watch Out World!

My passport arrived this week! My daughter has also picked this week to try my patience sorely. The A/C is not working (not acceptable in TX in May--got up to 100 here yesterday!) So far hubby is still in my good graces! But they better watch out, the only thing standing between me and a hammock on some island is my conscience!!! I guess one could argue that my hubby could threaten the same escape (except that he doesn't know where I hid his passport-tee hee!) (Hey someone has to stay home with the child!)

I am only joking, I am not going to dessert my family! It would be more fun to take hubby with me (jury is still out on darling stinker, I mean daughter!) No , I would never leave them here alone with the non working A/C, the mountains of laundry, the bills to pay, the house to clean! No , I would NEVER do that!

or would I?

The A/C was fixed today so I have no excuse to run away anymore! I will have to think real hard and come up with something!

Actually we are not going anywhere, we just thought it would be good to have since they are tightening up the borders. You will not even be able to go to Mexico or Canada without a passport soon. No plans for anywhere out of the country. We will be going to Disney and Hawaii within the next few months though, I am excited about the Hawaii part and I guess Disney too, just not as much so. I know this is a hard time for you, I hope it passes by quickly and that your foot will heal rapidly.

Hawaii and Disney? I don't know if my travels have much on those! I love Disney World. My brother got to go to Hawaii a few years ago and has been trying to get our family out there at some point...some day we'll get there.

And now that you've got your passport, you could theoretically take off most any time you wished...

Yesterday we had record highs for temperature here in Malta - 101 F. Unfortunately not everywhere is airconditioned so you literally roast although our houses are designed to be cool in the summer. Tomorrow should be a more acceptable 80-82.. I hope! I'm allergic to the heat!

It's almost strange that the borders are being tightened up in the States (saw the protests regarding Mexico). Here in Europe it's the other way around - we can travel on a normal Government ID within the EU. I'm not convinced it's a good thing.
