"Marley and Me"

Just finished reading this book, "Marley and Me" by John Grogan. If you are a dog lover, this is a great book for you. This dog, "Marley" was something else but his family loved him. It is an easy read and will tug at your heartstrings. It will play on all your emotions but does not require any deep analytical thoughts to enjoy it.

Hubby and I have a babysitter all lined up and we are going out tonight! Yeah, we find that life just goes a little smoother if we carve out time for each other away from the house and child. Last night we took K and a friend of hers to a hamburger place with a patio and a little playscape. I am not going to tell you the name of it, (we might be disowned by our Aggie friends!) but it is well known in our area. It was great, food was good (not great but good) and Hubby and I sat inside by big window and watched girls play outside on the patio. It was all enclosed and they were perfectly safe. Adult conversation for us and the girls had a blast! What more could we ask for? Free Meals? I don't want to get greedy! Yeah, it is friday! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Ah, the "Aggie Cafe". We never go there. Not sure why, but we just don't. Oh yea, we don't go anywhere with 3 kids, ever! Too much money and too much heart ache. I have seen some place where kids eat free, but the headaches before, after and during...not always worth it!

Weird. I just posted the previous comment and it told me that: "Your comment has been saved and will be visible after blog owner approval." What in the world?! Where did that come from? Did you set this up to do this or is it like that for all comments and I just never saw it until now? Oh well.

Sounds like a great book, I like ones that don't make you analyze them too much nowadays

I was just running through my blog buddies before I picked up Marley and Me to read! I have two books for my book club this month and this was one of them. I just finished the first one tonight so on to Marley and Me. Looking forward to it.

Ain't date night great? Dixie and I really enjoy it when we get to go out by ourselves. We'll have to adjust to getting babysitters after the move. Sam and Carol have us spoiled right now.

I don't know if it's appropriate or not, but I have to let you know how much I appreciate watching you and K?K worship. I know for you, signing is probably as common as me talking or singing, but I can't tell you how much your signing means to me. Yesterday Andrea was behind you guys too so it was a nice group of signers together. I know very little ASL, but I can watch you guys sign your praise and worship and see what is in your hearts. I think hearing people take communication for granted so much that they tend to lose the meaning of the songs as they sing them. I know lots of hearing people use their hands while they talk, but it seems that when we're in church singing, we try to be pretty statuesque. Signing seems so much more expressive to me, that it seems impossible to lose the meaning of the songs. You sure are a blessing to me!
